Application of power amplifier in positive and negative motion of ultrasonic motor
Name of experiment:the application of power amplifier in the forward and reverse motion experiment of the bending compound ultrasonic motor excited by single signal
Research direction:ultrasonic motor
Content of experiment:a single special excitation signal (composed of two sinusoidal waveforms with frequency ratio of 1:2) was used to drive the bending compound ultrasonic motor, and the motion track of the driving foot and the basic output characteristics of the prototype were tested.
Experimental purpose:verify the feasibility of working principle of ultrasonic motor based on figure-8 vibration track
Test equipment:function signal generator, ATA-4051 power amplifier, laser displacement sensor, laser tachometer, etc
Experimental process:
(1)Test the trajectory of the driving foot. Two laser displacement sensors were used to align the upper surface and right surface of the driving foot respectively. The function signal amplifier was used to generate signals, which were amplified by the power amplifier (ATA4051) and then applied to the ultrasonic motor. The sensor acquisition function was turned on to complete the vibration track acquisition. Change the phase difference between the two signals in the excitation signal, from 0 to 360 degrees, test once every 15 degrees, a total of 24 times.

(2)Test the output feature. A small pulley is placed at the driving foot, and the side is pasted with luminous paper. The pulley is moved every turn to observe whether the tachometer count is normal. Then the excitation signal is generated by the signal generator and power amplifier and applied to the ultrasonic motor to test the output speed of the motor under different waveforms (the sinusoidal phase difference of the two frequency components).
Result of experiment:
1. When the driving foot is at the phase difference of 165 degrees and -15 degrees, the figure-8 trajectory can be obtained, and the trajectory moves in the opposite direction.
2. The proposed ultrasonic motor based on the 8-figure trajectory has a positive and negative output characteristic difference of less than 4%, and the maximum output speed is 1373rpm when pushing the 22mm diameter rotor.
3. The proposed ultrasonic motor based on the figure-8 trajectory can realize the bi-directional output motion only with the unidirectional excitation signal, the piezoelectric element is not idle, and the friction coupling efficiency is high, which has potential application value in aerospace and other high reliability applications.
